As far as I know, just "right click > open" should let you get the permission popup, the command line things are just for that particular broken app and not all of them.

Also, using the itch.io desktop app will avoid running into this since it directly launches the apps.

There's a mac version now. While the release notes say you might have trouble launching it, it works easily if you use the itch.io app and also you can just right click > "open" and it'll play fine.

The game will work perfectly fine if you use the itch.io app.
If you don't want to use the itch app, or if you downloaded it, you should be able to right click or control click on the game and select "Open".
You might have to click "OK" after it warns you “Game.app” is from an unidentified developer. Are you sure you want to open it?

The text on the menu didn't load for me at first, but it showed up after I pressed enter on the options menu (the bottom button), and I'm not sure if this is a cross-platform issue. Just letting people know in case they also run into that.

Temmie, if you could update the instructions on the main game page to help other people, that'd be appreciated!

This is really excellent so far!
Some stuff I particularly love:

  • Secily's quirk being real chess games and having dynamic handling so that it works correctly no matter what order you take branching paths in.
  • The way the menu evolves as you finish the routes, adding more and more stuff to the pile.
  • All the character themes are great.
  • Pretty girls 🙇‍♀️.
  • Flashbacks with early-transition/pre-transition Secily in them, I love playing as a trans protagonist, and I love her.

FLUX is beautiful and was helpful to me. Maybe the first time when I idly though "I would like this" I should have realized some stuff.  💚💚💚💚💚 to you, e.
